The best time to come to the museum on a weekday is in the afternoon between 1 pm - 2 pm where you can learn and play with little or no noise at all!

The Children’s Museum of Brownsville is located in the heart of Dean Porter Park in the Mitte Cultural District.

Coming South on U.S. 77/83, exit 6th street and follow 6th street to the right going towards Gladys Porter Zoo. Make a right on Ringgold Street and a second right at Dean Porter Drive. Enter the second gated entrance to the left from Dean Porter Drive, follow the park street to the dead end, turn left and follow the park street to the Children’s Museum of Brownsville. Parking is available in front of the park playground. The museum entrance is near the Plaza Fountain. Look for the Brite Sun on the windows!
